Oil painting of the wonders of Chiang Mai sold
This painting showing a gently magical journey in Chiang Mai was sold last week to Singapore friends, Dionne and Ben (both in black T-shirts in the photo). The elephant and buffalo are common symbols in Chiang Mai (North Thailand). Here their blue colours are juxtaposed with the red and pink of flamingoes and green and yellow of a peacock tail. Ben and Dionne will hang the oil painting in their charitable foundation when it is set up in Chiang Mai in the next few months. Part of the proceeds from the sale of the painting goes to my volunteer work with children (ArtSpeak.org).
